Currently a one woman team, graphic design has always been a passion of mine, and finally I am able to turn the passion into a career. You know the saying "do what you love and you'll never work another day in your life" well that couldn't be more true. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, my first attempt at a business was my own beauty room where I had clients get beauty treatments, massage and makeup from a spare room in our home. During this beauty period I also designed some beauty products to sell. Then I started creating baby items for sale, next up was an authentic fudge business using my grandmother's recipe, which lead to a full blown baking business, where my sister and I teamed up to not only provide personalized event cakes and treats but also supplying some stores around Hamilton. This was by far the biggest one yet and still to this day (2 years after closing) we receive messages from customers looking to place an order. After this business I decided to give full time employment a go, but it wasnt long before I had a new idea blossom which allowed me to make a bit of extra cash whilst helping to build others confidence. It was the design and production of a hair growth oil which will continue to be a side hustle as I enjoy the personal rewards of helping others. During each of these business start ups I never realized my true talent was staring me in the face! Actually it was jumping up and down with a lit flare in its hands! For the past 10 years I had unknowingly been my own graphic designer. Creating logos, business slogans, product labels, websites and social media content. Not once did any of those tasks feel like work.
